About Us
The School of “Bharathakala” was started in 2004 to promote Bharatanatyam, one of India’s oldest and most sacred classical dance forms and in the style of kalakshetra. The mission of the school is to impart this divine art and inculcate our culture and values in students. We train our students for high standard and dedication to the dance.
The school’s aim is to present Bharatanatyam dance as a cultured, highly skilled, and beautiful medium to express devotion to the Lord and wishes to bestow upon its students the essence of connecting the mind, body, and soul through learning and understanding this sacred art form.
About The Founder
The founder is Smt Sujatha Sathees, and she started learning Bharathanatyam at the age of four and completed tutelage and graduated in the Kalakshetra style.
She has been teaching Bharathanatyam for many years in the UK including at the Lewisham London Sivan Temple Tamil School, MFALA Birmingham, School of Bharathakala in Harrow and Coventry.
She has been teaching Bharathanatyam for many years in the UK. Many of her students have achieved their Post Diploma, Diploma and Arangetrams. Sujatha has inspired and shaped many teachers and they now teaching across the UK.

She is teaching many students who continuously perform all over the UK at various locations and venues. Sujatha Sathees has travelled as a dance examiner to many other countries.
She has done many dance drama such as Ramayanam, Ganappalm, Krishnaleelai, Thirumurai and Thasavatharam and has captured the hearts of many lovers of art with her inspiring performances in UK and continuing the passion in helping the people in need through charities. As well as being an accomplished bharathanatyam dancer. She has been honoured for her dedication towards bharathanatyam by GTV and OFAAL.
Each student is assured individual attention and motivated to participate in the school’s dance productions and programs. “There is no other knowledge, no other learning, no other art, not even yoga or action that is not found in dance.
